We’re here to help

Nautilus is done for you — so most of the time there’s nothing to set up or fix on your end. But whenever you want a real person, start a live chat with the button in the corner, send us a message below, or email us.

Common questions

What customers ask us most once they’re up and running.

Getting started

What happens right after I sign up?

You answer a short set of intake questions about your work and who you help. We build your funnel from there — the freebie, the landing page, the welcome emails and your first newsletter — then send it back for you to review. Nothing goes out until you say yes. It’s days rather than weeks, and you can ask where yours is at any point.

What do you need from me to get started?

Three things: who you help, what you offer them, and how you talk about it. Send your logo and colours if you have them, plus links to anything you’ve already written — that helps us catch your voice. It’s under an hour up front, and if something is half-finished, tell us and we’ll work from what you’ve got.

Can I import subscribers I already have?

Yes, and it’s a common way to start. Send us what you have and we’ll bring it in. The one rule we don’t bend: everyone on it has to have opted in, because Nautilus never emails people who didn’t ask. Imported subscribers get warmed up and re-engaged before anything is sold to them — our done-for-you service page explains how. Unsure whether your list qualifies? Ask and we’ll check it with you.

Your account

How do I review and approve emails before they send?

Everything we write comes to you first. Your freebie, landing page, welcome emails and any launch campaign always need your approval before anything goes out — no exceptions. Weekly newsletters are the one thing you can switch to automatic sending once you trust the voice, and plenty of people do; you can switch it back to manual whenever you like. You can approve it, edit a line, or send it back for a rewrite; most people tweak an opening paragraph and send. If you’d rather approve a batch at a time, or want a longer window while you’re away, tell us. Can’t find something in your account? Start a live chat and we’ll walk you through it.

How do I change how often my emails go out?

Tell us and we’ll change it. Weekly is the default and usually the right answer — often enough that people remember who you are, not so often that they tune out. If you want it lighter, a heavier run around a launch, or a pause while you’re away, message us or email [email protected].

How do I update my billing details or get an invoice?

Message us in live chat or email [email protected] and we’ll take care of it — the card on file, an invoice for your accountant, a company name or tax number added, or a different billing email. It’s one flat price of $199 a month with no setup fee, so there’s rarely much to untangle.

How do I request a refund?

Your first month is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. To use it, email [email protected] or start a live chat within 30 days of your first payment and ask. You don’t need to justify it and there’s no retention script waiting. If something went wrong we’d rather hear about it, but the guarantee stands either way.

Can I get a copy of my subscriber list?

Yes. It’s your list, not ours, and that doesn’t change if you leave. Ask in live chat or by email and we’ll get you an export; if you need a particular format for another system, say which. What we do with that data, and what happens to it after you cancel, is set out in our data processing terms.

Something’s not right

My emails are landing in spam — what now?

Tell us and we’ll look at the sending side — that part is ours to handle, not yours. Three things decide where email lands, and we work on all three: permission (everyone hearing from you asked to), engagement (people open and reply) and consistency (a steady rhythm rather than silence then a burst). Forward us the email as it arrived and say which inbox it was. One thing that helps today: reply to your own email and ask a few subscribers to do the same.

I can’t log in or I forgot my password

Reset it at ems.nautilusmail.com/password/reset using the email address you signed up with. If nothing arrives after a few minutes, check your spam folder. If it still isn’t there, the usual cause is an account under a different address than you expect — so rather than keep guessing, email [email protected] and we’ll get you back in.

Still stuck?

Use the form higher up this page, open the chat bubble in the corner, or email [email protected]. Live chat reaches us within a few minutes during business hours; email gets a reply within one business day. Mention the email address on your account and we can look things up before we reply.
